Our Team – Taylorville

Kiley

From a young age, Kiley has been interested in educating herself in different healthy lifestyle options. At 16, she became a certified massage therapist. From there, Kiley moved on to customer service positions and discovered she really enjoyed working with the public. She has been a part of the GYM team since opening day in Taylorville! Kiley’s goal is to help people to find the benefits (mind, body and soul) that fitness and eating healthy can bring. Our health and fitness goals have been aligned with hers from the start, so having Kiley on G.Y.M.’s team is a great partnership. She always assures members that even if you don’t see quick results in the mirror, being healthy is a lifelong goal! Kiley is very family oriented, she knows how hard it is to balance family and fitness, for this reason she is committed to motivating busy people to reach their goals! She always strives to provide a welcoming and motivating environment for all G.Y.M. members to start or continue their fitness journey long term.

John

Hello, my name is John Good. I am originally from Chicago but moved to the Taylorville area when I was 11. I love this small community that I have grown up in. I graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. With my degree I work as a supervisor for the county probation department which I love. My fitness journey starts at the age of 15 where I used fitness to help me cope with the death of my father. I spent every day at our local YMCA for years. Being surrounded by like minded individuals who are passionate about health and self improvement on a daily basis has shaped me into the person I am today. I wanted to learn more about fitness and find a way to use my passion for it to help others since it has benefited me so much in my life. In 2018 I was certified as a fitness trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Since then I have trained one on one and volunteer in my spare time. The past couple of years I have continued my education and have received certificates as an exercise therapy specialist and a sports nutrition specialist. I currently teach the Fitness Boot Camp class here at G.Y.M. and I love it. Everyone in the class is so positive and motivated. I look forward to coming to class when I teach because of how much fun we have and seeing the improvement in the individuals everyday. I am proud to be a part of the team here at Get Yourself Motivated.
